Detection grating, also known as measurement grating, is a special photoelectric sensor mainly used for detecting and measuring whether the product meets the specified requirements. Like ordinary opposed photoelectric sensors, it includes two parts: a transmitter and a receiver that are separated from each other and placed relative to each other. But its overall size is relatively large, and it is in the shape of a long tube. To ensure the normal operation of the grating measurement system, a controller is required. The controller is programmed using software and can provide multiple scanning and detection analysis modes. It can communicate with the PLC or computer through a serial interface to transmit control or scanning results. Additionally, it can be connected to a departure signal to control the scanning process. Measuring gratings are mainly used in automated production, using detection. Measuring gratings can achieve functions such as automatic classification, automatic operation, and automatic detection.

Generally speaking, our ordinary safety grating is a beam by beam, while the detection light generated by the measuring grating transmitter is not just one beam like the ordinary safety grating, but an array of rays is generated at fixed intervals along the length direction, forming a "light curtain". In a scanning way, combined with the controller and its software, the function of detecting and measuring the external dimensions of objects is achieved.
